HUSTLR requires users to create an account using a valid email address and username. We also collect your full name and age to personalize your experience and ensure compliance with age requirements.
We collect only the data you enter into the app, including project names, transaction amounts, descriptions, and notes. This information is stored securely in our database solely to provide you with the app's features.
HUSTLR includes an AI business advisor called Marcus powered by OpenAI. To provide personalized advice, the following data is shared with OpenAI when you interact with Marcus: your most recent transactions (including titles, amounts, dates, and notes), project and hustle names, financial summaries (income totals, expense breakdowns, and profit trends), and recurring transaction details. This data is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing and is subject to OpenAI's data usage policies. AI-generated advice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice.
When you use the receipt scanning feature, images of your receipts are sent to OpenAI Vision to extract transaction details such as amounts, dates, and merchant names. Receipt images are transmitted to OpenAI's servers for processing. Extracted data is stored in your account like any other transaction.
HUSTLR allows you to import financial data from CSV spreadsheet files. When you use this feature, column headers and a sample of rows (up to 5) from your CSV file are sent to OpenAI for analysis to automatically detect column types, transaction categories, and project groupings. The full file is processed on our servers. Imported data is stored in your account as regular hustles, projects, and transactions.
HUSTLR shares certain user data with OpenAI as described in the "AI-Powered Features," "Receipt Scanning," and "Spreadsheet Data Import" sections above. Apart from OpenAI, HUSTLR does not use or integrate external analytics, trackers, advertising networks, SDKs, or other third-party data processors. We do not sell or transfer your data to any other third parties.
Your financial inputs including projects, goals, amounts, and notes are stored for your convenience only. This data is used to produce analytics within the app for your personal use and to power AI features when you choose to use them, as described above.
Before any of your data is shared with OpenAI, you will be asked to provide explicit consent within the app. You may choose to allow or deny data sharing at any time. If you deny consent, AI-powered features (Marcus advisor, receipt scanning, and CSV import analysis) will be disabled, but all other app features will continue to work normally. You can change your consent preference at any time in Settings.
HUSTLR stores all financial amounts in US Dollars (USD) as the base currency. When you select a different display currency, real-time exchange rates are fetched from exchangerate-api.com to convert amounts for display. Your currency preference is stored locally on your device. No financial data is shared with the exchange rate service.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Your data is stored securely and accessed only when you use the app.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page by tapping 'Delete Account.' Upon account deletion, all your data — including projects, transactions, goals, receipts, recurring transactions, and session data — will be permanently and immediately removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
